Ann Wilson, best known as the lead singer of the band Heart, kicked off the Snoqualmie Casino Concert Series as well as the start of her national tour, which is in support of her latest release, Immortal.
The show was an outdoor event with the Mountain View Plaza of the casino. The weather was unfavorable in the late afternoon leading up until show time. Mother Nature must be an Ann Wilson fan because right as the band was ready to hit the stage, the rain let up and the clouds parted and the evening sky could be seen over the gorgeous valley that surrounded the casino.
Wilson, along with guitarist Craig Bartock, bassist Andy Stoller, keyboardist Dan Walker and drummer Denny Fongheiser, opened the evening with a cover of “Can You See The Real Me?” by the Who, and then proceeded to jump into “Barracuda” by Heart. Wilson then thanked the crowd for braving the weather and for coming out to help celebrate the start of her tour.
Wilson and her band performed close to two hours of material that consisted mostly of songs by Heart, her solo recordings as well as covers of classic rock and roll acts.
