The Madman tour featuring A$AP Ferg made its way to the Showbox Sodo in Seattle. The show was a complete sellout and everyone came out where there to witness some incredible hip hop by the man who hails from Harlem, New York.
Ferg brought an incredible twenty song nearly two performance with him. The heavy beats and bass that rumbled through the PA System had everyone standing on the main floor jumping up and down. Ferg also mentioned that he was bringing the heavy and that since Seattle is known for its heavy music, he wanted to see stage diving and moshing, and the crowd as too happy to oblige.
Ferg has an awesome and commanding stage presence and he spent a great deal of time interacting with his fans. Many in the crowd sang along with “Trap & A Dream”, “Aww Yeah”, “Mad Man”, “One Savage Night”, “East Coast” and “New Level”. Ferg had the crowd pumped and the energy from the crowd during Ferg’s set was incredible. There was not one body, not once person, standing around. Everyone was moving and having a great time.
Jay IDK, made his way to the stage wearing a Ronald Reagan mask and then introduced himself, talked a little bit about his background, and then proceeded to put on a 30 minute set that was pure fire. His hardcore beats were razor sharp and he put on a stellar performance.
Hailing from Compton, CA and discovered by Pharrell, Buddy took to the stage and though his set was only twenty minutes, that’s all the time he needed to win over anyone in attendance who may have never heard of him. His performance was energetic and his raps were furious.
Getting the evening started was S. Fresh who, despite only being given fifteen minutes, put on a solid performance. Sadly, the venue was only half full for S.Fresh’s performance, but he performed as if it was packed to the rafters. Those who weren’t there to catch his set missed out and they need to check him the next time he rolls through town.
