Good news Riverdale fans, season two is underway. The CW announced via Twitter the hit series based on the characters of the popular Archie Comics will be 22 episodes. In other news, Riverdale will be moving to Wednesdays at 8 PM starting October 11th.

Described as Twin Peaks for teenagers, the first season focused on the mysterious murder of Jason Blossom. The gang made up of Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, and Jughead Jones look to find out who killed Jason and why. Throughout the series, each character deals with their own set of problems. Archie struggles to become a songwriter while keeping his father Fred happy. Betty deals with her overbearing parents while trying to find the truth about her sister Polly. Jughead who serves as the narrator bounces from living quarters while his dad FP deals with personal problems. Veronica and her mother Hermione are new to Riverdale after her father Hiram is arrested.
